DIFFERENT FORMS OF ABNORMALITIES OF THE LIQUOR SYSTEM IN CHIDREN (A CLINICAL PICTURE AND POSSIBLE PATHOGENESIS)
Burdenko Research Institute of Neurosurgery
Data of ambulant examination and dynamic follow-up of children with different forms of congenital pathology of the liquor system including hydrocephalus, hygromas, subarachnoid and intracerebral cavities which contain liquor (the so-called “cysts”) are presented. Some of the children were operated on, others did not undergo any operation.
Taking into account the analysis of personal observations and data of literature the author makes an attempt to elucidate a cause of discussed abnormal forms of the liquor system and expresses her opinion on treatment of children depending on a character of a process.
